Dr. Sheryl Lipnick, D.O.

Dr. Sheryl Lipnick

Dr. Sheryl Lipnick practices general orthopaedics with an emphasis in sports related injuries. She cares for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. In addition to procedures such as knee replacements, arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, and ACL reconstructions, she has a special interest in trauma and pediatric sports injuries. She strives to get all patients "back in the game" as soon as possible, always utilizing non-invasive techniques when possible. She encourages patients to live a healthy and active lifestyle and is looking forward to treating all of your orthopaedic needs.

Dr. Lipnick earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, California, and her medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. She continued her training with an internship at South Pointe Hospital in Warrenville Heights, Ohio. She spent an extra year in Cleveland, Ohio as a clinical scholar in the total joint department at the nationally renowned Cleveland Clinic. She then went on to complete an orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship with Plancher Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in COSCOB, Connecticut and New York. During her fellowship, Dr. Lipnick served as team physician for the Long Island Lizards professional La Crosse team and the Manhatanville Men and Women's Ice Hockey teams.

Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Lipnick has been in practice with The Center for Sports Orthopaedics since 2010. She has conducted and authored several articles and chapters in peer-reviewed journals and other orthopaedic literature. Dr. Lipnick is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO), and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

Dr. Lipnick grew up in Beverly Hills, California. She was very active in softball, soccer and cheerleading. Her non-professional interests include going to the gym, riding her bicycle, watching movies and spending time with her husband and two young children.
